Who We Are
Philthy’s is all about that love. Love of family and heritage, of good food that comes from the soul. You can taste the passion in each bite of our Korean soul food bowls. Our mission, our joy, is feeding your heart and your appetite.
Our journey started way back in the day at BBQs in the park. It was my mom’s cooking that kept the people coming back. I saw the smiles on their faces, their joy when they ate her cooking, and I wanted to do that, to bring that joy, to be the cause of those smiles.
But I wasn’t allowed to cook anything. Because I burned everything.
I didn’t give up. You gotta go hard in everything you do, right? So I kept cooking. I learned Asian dishes from my mother. And I started getting better. At least, I wasn’t burning everything anymore.
Flash forward decades later when I met my father. It turns out, I come from a long line of BBQ pitmasters and soul food restaurant owners in Georgia.
I embraced both my Asian and Southern heritage: the culture, the food, the passion. And that’s how Philthy’s Food was born.
Our Korean Soul bowls are soul-fuel fusion. They’re my heart, soul, and heritage in every bite. Authentic, bold, and full of flavor. That’s what we do.
